Races
Humans make up the majority of the population. The Gods granted them with complete freewill to choose their own lives. With their short lifespan they are the most reckless and open minded of all the races. These men and women have spread throughout the land and make their homes in all habitable areas. Most, loyal and law-abiding Humans follow under the rule of the King of Esterlland. There are several smaller groups within the Human race, but only three major ones aside from the main one in the Nation of Estelland. Their lifespan can be as long as one hundred years but usually goes seventy to eighty years of age.
Alfar, more commonly known as elves, have the longest lifespan. They reside deep within forests and wooded areas, often shunning the outside world. Most Alfar are worshipers of those Gods dedicated to the protection of the world and associated with peace and nature. It is uncommon for one to outcast themselves and follow one of the "Darker" Gods. There are currently two groups of Alfar. Their lifespan can be as long as five thousand years but is more commonly about two thousand and five hundred years of age.
Slin'thers hail from the barren islands located south-west from Acroshtka's mainland. These humanoids strongly resemble the winged dragons. Their scaly hide is as strong as most armour and will vary in color depending on which island and land they live in. This race is fairly neutral. They will fight whomever they believe has something they want (granted, the Alfar and Humans seem to be the biggest targets). Although they have wings, not all can fly. In general they will range from five feet to seven feet in height, they have been known to be shorter or taller than this. There reside four tribes on the Isle's of Soth'unoge. These creatures take after their cousins and have longer lifespan than others. They can live to be up to four thousand years of age.**
Faeries are beings made entirely of magic. One of the eldest races, the first of their kind was created by accident when the magic’s of the different Gods combined and formed the Fairy Queen, who then in turn used her magic to start the rest of her kind. The Fairy Queen made her home in the center of the Crystalin Forest, beneath Cleargem Lake. Her children built their city out to the base of the mountains that circled the lake. Beyond those mountains was the playground of the faeries. There they would roam, singing and dancing. On occasions a traveler would wander into their playground and these mischievous being would play tricks on the traveler and eventually scare them away. Even though it is rare, there have been times when the traveler, or mercenaries as it happen to be, would not leave the forest and the faeries would be forced to kill the invaders before their city was discovered. None have laid eyes upon their city and lived. Faeries can be from four feet to five and a half feet in height. They are one of the only two races that can be called Demi-Gods. These magical beings do not age and will not die of old age. Weapons created by man cannot harm these beings either. Only other powerful magic can destroy them. (Only a very select few will be allowed to play as a member of this race because they are beings of pure magic and I do not want their power abused.)
The Volvedir are the eldest of all creations, even older than the ancient Dragons. Also the third longest living races. In appearance they look much like a half-breed between Humans and Alfar with their slightly pointed ears and slim, muscular body frame. However their large round eyes with red or green pupils are proof enough to dismiss the rumors of their being a half-breed. Their hair is kept wild and hanging down to their shoulders or as long as the middle of their backs and can range from black to shades of red in color, sometimes even white. Not long after their creation these beings turned away from the Gods, looking instead to nature and the wild beasts. Somehow those of this race can hear the voices of the world around them that no others can. By listening to these voices (from the rocks, rivers, trees, ext.) they have come to be known as the 'Keepers of Time' (because they hold the knowledge of every event throughout time). Being a shy race, they have little interaction with others. To protect their homelands they developed the ability to transform themselves into the wild beasts that dwell within their homes. There are two known clans on Solarus. Each of the two clans are lead by a solitary leader. The lifespan of a Volvedir varies with the two cousins.**
Daemons are the result of the excess power the Gods had cast aside after the creation of every other race. Over the course of two millennia that magic power had formed the beings which came to be called Daemons. Beings of pure evil, they were born and live in the Vogna (equivalent to Hell or the Abyss). Seeing as how they were created by the excess power of the Gods, they are one of the two races that are Demi-Gods. With their immense powers they will occasionally escape from Vogna to spread chaos among the people of Solarus. Though it is not likely, Daemon warriors have in the past mated with those of the mortal plane to create Half-Daemon children. These beings are unaffected by age and can only die by a fatal wound received by a mortal weapon or powerful magic from another being. Due to the fact that it was excess power cast off by the Gods, they are not as powerful as their Fairy counterparts. Within the Daemon family there exsist two small clans that are believed to be related to the Daemons.
Dragons are ancient and powerful creatures. Before they were nearly brought to extinction they were the supreme rulers of Solarus. Soaring through the skies these magnificent beings controls the heavens and every inch of the world. In size they were the largest of the Gods creations. On average being six hundred feet in length and one hundred and seventy-five feet wide (including wingspan). Their breath was a deadly weapon and their magic was second only to that of the Faeries. Hording treasures, they collected them in their lairs and would sleep for weeks on end curled around their riches. It was because of these treasures that the smaller races began tracking these beasts to their lairs and slaying them. Dragon Hunters were becoming a common job titled. Only a few of these hunters were skilled in what they did, others were crushed or eaten by the Dragons. Those few skilled hunters were better than the Masters of the Sky had first thought. Countless numbers of their kind were slain at their hands. It was a slow process, but after several millennia the number of Dragons had decreased immensely. The few that remained took to the skies and returned to their homeland on the Isle of Dragonus. Since then the once powerful creatures had become but a mere legend to the other races, a story told to children. Dragons live nearly one hundred years, which is why they are as knowledgeable and as powerful as they are. (Seeing as how all the remaining Dragons have fled to their homeland, no one may play as one. I merely wanted everyone to know they background.)

There are several smaller groups within the Human race, but only three major ones aside from the main one in the Nation of Estelland. Their lifespan can be as long as one hundred years but usually goes seventy to eighty years of age.
- Barbarians are the men and women from Scaniovilon Isle off the South-Eastern coast of Acroshtka. These people settle in clans across the island, each of these clans are ruled by their own Chief. The barbarians are most commonly known for taking to the sea in their long ships to attack the small towns and villages that are located along the coast of the mainland. There they raid, pillage and take whatever it is they want. In some parts of the land they are known as the 'Wrath of the Sea'. Each of their warriors is dressed differently, since they wear bits and pieces of clothing and Armour they had taken on previous raids, this also includes their weapons which were also spoils of past raids.
- Nomads are small groups that never stay in one place for long. They travel across the lands, carrying their lives on their backs or in wagons. Since they have so much spare time, the men will spar with each other using swords or axes while the women would learn to shoot a bow and arrow. These men and women call no place home and no man king. Their lives belong to them and the Gods, whom they pray to daily for divine protection.
- Roashtiel live along the base of the mountains and in the vast desert that takes up much of the north-eastern areas of the continent. These people are generally solitary but recently have began appearing in other human regions on a more regular basis. With all the time spent to themselves, they have perfected many different skills. Those that hail from these lands are known to be some of the best fighters and archers in the whole Human Nation, those are not all they are known for however. In the trade district of their capitol city, Gertorui, the most skilled and patient of them work on machines that would protect their land from invading armies.
Alfar, more commonly known as elves, have the longest lifespan. They reside deep within forests and wooded areas, often shunning the outside world. Most Alfar are worshipers of those Gods dedicated to the protection of the world and associated with peace and nature. Their lifespan can be as long as five thousand years but is more commonly about two thousand and five hundred years of age.
- Anu'estine believe themselves to be the most noble of all races and favored of the Gods. They make their homes deep within the forests, magically altering the tree and plants to form their homes. Their nation is centered around the Sun Palace, made from the trees of the area and crystals. Said to be one of the most beautiful structures upon Acroshtka and home to their Emperor.
- Cagonesti are called the wild elves by their forest dwelling cousins. Making their homes in smaller, wooded areas, they live more in tune with their surroundings. Even those of other races consider them to be more primitive then most. They live in mud huts, hunt and fight with weapons of wood and stone. Their tribes are lead by small groups of elders, usually consisting of five eldest among the tribe. Over the last couple centuries it has been becoming more and more common for the younger generations to run away from their homes, following after passing Knights of Estelland because of their metallic Armour and weapons. Most of these would become slaves or servants of those they followed.

- Uulste are those from the mountain ranges of the eastern isle have brown and reddish scales. Their wings are larger than most and allow them to glide across gorges and down to the valley below.
- Damorust are the tribes of the northern isle live mainly in intense heat of the deserts. Their scales are shades of yellows and oranges with brownish tints. These tribes are the only that do not posses wings.
- Xiutto live in the southern isle there lives those found in the vast swamplands. They have ebony scales. Their wings are considered small but allow them to skim above the trees of their homes.
- Aberqst are those found in the snow covered plains and hillsides. Their scales are shades of white and light blues. These tribes are the only ones that can actually fly. Their wingspan is between those of the swampland and those of the mountains in length.

- The Dols'enau are the tribes that live atop the Rive'stone Mountains where their forefathers had first settled. Those of these tribes are more hostile than their cousins and will occasionally attack settlements at the base of the mountains with the intent of driving the outsiders away from their boarder. They are lead by the bravest of their clan. Most tend to live about one thousand and three hundred years.
- The Ou'chien had left the mountain home of their ancestors and settled in what small wooded areas they could find that were not already inhabited by the Alfar. Those of this clan were a peace loving people and kept to themselves. When their territory was invaded they would attack those they thought had intentions to do harm and would aid those that were merely lost (in the guise of an animal of course). All of these tribes follow the eldest of their kind, the Priestess who was the first of the Volvedir to be placed on the mortal plane. Living longer then their cousins, they can be as old as two thousand years of age.
Daemons are the result of the excess power the Gods had cast aside after the creation of every other race. Within the Daemon family there exsist two small clans that are believed to be related to the Daemons.
- The Ruina Iuguol, when translated means Destructive Killer, are the larger of the two clans within the Daemon family. They come to Acroshtka only to kill any living being that they come across. Their bodies are large, covered by black and red scales. Instead of hands they have long, sharp claws that tear easily through flesh. Two horns protrude from their forhead and end in sharp points while leathery wings (sometimes torn) sprout from their backs. When fully extended the wingspan is easily sixteen feet wide. That is twice as wide as these creatures are tall.
- The Vispilio de Cruor or "Robbers of Blood" as it is translated in english. Commonly mistaken for their cousins, the Vispilio have pale skin, perfect smiles, dark hair, and eyes that change rapidly depending on their mood. Unlike their cousins, the Vispilio lust for human blood and will also feed on animal if they truly are desperate.
Another way to tell the Vispilio from any other group is their uncanny way of speaking that strange language of the Daemons, Latianne. They pick up languages very quickly. Speed, agility, temperament: exceed those of their cousins. They are however less hostile towards other beings than most of their kind. Their personality, their generosity, and a mulitude of things, make it easy for them to wheel in "prey"
